Our Favorite Wedding Venues in Fresno

As much as we would like to say choosing the right wedding photographer is the most important decision you’ll make while planning your wedding, saying that would be a big mistake. That’s because choosing your wedding venue is actually (read: definitely) the most important thing since it impacts almost every aspect of your wedding. From how your wedding planner designs your layout and how your florist selects just the right flowers to whether your caterers need to build a kitchen—you can start to see how your venue influences how everyone is going to work.

As a photographer, a venue helps to determine what lenses we use as well as where certain shots will be posed (and at what time). So today, we wanted to share just some of our favorite wedding venues in Fresno, in case you are looking for a spot that will give you the gorgeous wedding photos you want.

Seven Sycamores 

Seven Sycamores is one of the most popular wedding venues in the Central Valley because it has so much to offer. It is a beautiful barn wedding venue, has a lush green garden (perfect for an outdoor ceremony), getting-ready suites, and an Airbnb to boot! (Seriously, there is a 3-bedroom farmhouse on the property you can rent—it sleeps up to 10 guests!) Family-owned and operated and less than an hour’s drive from the heart of Fresno, if you’re looking for endless spots to take gorgeous photos, this is it!

San Joaquin River Parkway

Another barn wedding venue in Fresno, the San Joaquin River Parkway is a great option if you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option. Located in Fresno proper, this venue can host up to 250 guests and boasts indoor and outdoor spaces for your ceremony and reception—exchanging your vows in front of the restored ranch house makes for an amazing backdrop! But something no website page or social media post can show you? How incredibly peaceful this place is.

Toca Madera Winery 

If getting married at a vineyard is more your style, add Toca Madera Winery to your list! Less than a 30-minute drive north from Fresno, this vineyard wedding venue is everything you expect and more. Romantic—yes! Al fresco options—yes! Will make you feel like you’re far from home—absolutely!

Tuscan Gardens 

Another stunning vineyard wedding venue in the Fresno area, Tuscan Gardens is one to look into. We love it because the venue feels incredibly well laid out (everything is close and convenient for getting around). And there are great options for taking portraits outside in natural light! You can start in the vineyard and finish in the almond orchards for two really beautiful golden hour options.

Hidden Hollow 

Last on our list (but certainly not least!) is Hidden Hollow. This all-inclusive wedding venue pretty much takes all of the guesswork out of planning your wedding because all that’s left to book is a wedding photographer and officiant! Just a 30-minute drive east from Fresno, the venue has great outdoor ceremony spaces and indoor reception options.
